It
is said by those that are truly wise, that to become
truly educated, one must physically travel to various
places and savor the lay of the land. You must interact
with the people, become familiar with their culture
and history, analyze the experiences brought about by
this familiarity, and visualize opportunities for systemic
change as a result of being shaped by these various
experiences.
The
author of this document has provided the reader the
opportunity to do just that. His way, as well as the
reader's way, of seeing, knowing, and fully understanding
life will never be the same.
Through
this written piece, for humanity's sake, he has demonstrated
that in order for human beings to become truly versed
about this phenomenon known as life, that a similar
but slightly different type of inward journey must take
place in every person's life.
In
other words, all of mankind must take on the role of
the inward sojourner. All must become actively and inwardly
engaged in living, understanding, and passing on the
word. Walking the walk and talking the talk, as this
writer will tell you, is no easy job, but in order for
mankind to function as it is supposed to, it must be
done; too much is at stake for the call to go unheeded.
The
writer/traveler of this didactic journey does not merely
write about his sojourn from one country to another,
or from one culture to another, but he also incorporates
his social and spiritual stops along the way, as well
as the experiences he encounters and embraces while
stopping, redefining, and reshaping himself at each
one.
He
presents you with the before, during, and after for
each schema. He shows you his process for stepping into
each one. You, the reader, travel with him from the
beginning to the end. The writing is three layers deep.
Each layer is ensconced in the one that precedes it.
The writer has taken on the role of teacher/conductor,
and the reader becomes his student/disciple. Together
they will spread the good news to the rest of the populace.
The
author is running with a genuine vision, and he has
become empowered as a result of his journey. His intent
is for his readers to do the same. Have a productive,
safe, and enlightening trip!
